About the artwork
The subject is the result of a dream in which the artist saw a series of small boats appear on the hull of a larger boat. The forms of the boats are a development of his Okahu Bay series of paintings and drawings. There are 18 separate screens, 52 separate printings, the stencils hand-cut by Don Tee, the colours are all hand-mixed by the artist. This screenprint was awarded Highly Commended in the 2008 Pride'n'Print Awards. Edition of 90 Prints.
